Boston Residents and Passengers

Dear Boston valued customers:

We are writing to enlist your support in a letter and e-mail campaign to stop the Boston Domicile base closure. This is one of several parts of a multi-pronged strategy designed to shed some light on what we believe to be a bad corporate decision. Our recommendation is that you take the time to write a letter to Doug Parker, your Senators and Congressman and let them know how the base closure will negatively impact you, our customers, the communities we live in, as well as the Company’s bottom line. Please make it as personal as possible.  We suggest addressing some of the following:

The impact on your community

The loss of local jobs

Personal impact of job loss

New travel headaches

Why US Air should be growing instead of shrinking in BOS

Operational Integrity of a BOS domicile with reserve crews in base

Competition in the Boston marketplace

When we (USAPA REPS) were in Washington this past week, several of the staff members we talked to reiterated the importance and great impact these types of correspondence have on the political decision makers and corporate leaders. We realize taking the time now to put your thoughts down in writing can take some considerable effort but fewer travel choices out of Boston are the last thing we need right now.

Together we can make a difference. Please address your e-mails and or letters as appropriate to Doug Parker and our local elected officials.
