How many of us have called LoganAirport our place of employment for
the last 5, 10, 20 or more years?
We have enjoyed steady, continuous employment that has been
a dependable source of income for us and our families. Now our livelihoods are
being jeopardized by a significant reduction in flights by US Airways
On May 02, 2010
US Airways will reduce its daily departures to just 25 mainline flights a day!
Can the eatery, gift shop, newsstand or concession you work for survive? How
will the owner/mgr of your place of employment keep the business alive? The
only way is through a reduction in hours or a reduction in employees. In
today's environment of economic uncertainty, with local unemployment at a 26
year high and growing, we can ill afford to lose the steady employment we have
become accustomed to.
Boston is a
resilient city. Remember how quickly our city recovered after the Terror
Attacks of 9/11.
Now on the verge of an economic turnaround US Airways wants
to abandon Boston. Help us stop
this from happening and help preserve our source income for ourselves and our
families.
Please write to the CEO of US Airways, Doug Parker and let
him know how you feel about his decision to abandon Boston
and create an economic hardship for us and our dependents. Others who have a
common interest in keeping Logan
workers employed are our Senators, Congressmen, Mayor and Governor.
